Colorful crayon keychains? Yes please!
This pattern is fun to make and great for beginners. You can make so many of these with so many different colors! This pattern can also be customized by stitching someone’s name on it!

Measurements
Diameter: 3 cm
Length: 12 cm
Material
- Light-weight cotton yarn
- 3 mm hook
- 6 mm safety eyes
- Scissors
- Toy stuffing
- Needle
Stitches Used | Abbreviations
- Magic Ring (MR)
- Chain (ch)
- Single crochet (sc)
- Increase (inc) – 2st in 1st
- Decrease (dec) – 1st in 2st
- Back Loops Only (BLO)
- * * – repeat sequence
Notes
- The pattern is worked in continuous rounds – When you reach the end of the round, you directly move on to the next round without slip stitching.
- The number in ( ) at the end of each round indicates the total number of stitches for that round.
- This pattern uses two shades of any color. The colors will be reffered to as “darker shade” and “lighter shade.”

Using the darker shade
Round 1: MR, 6sc in MR (6)
Round 2: *inc* all around (12)
Round 3: *sc, inc* all around (18)
Round 4: *sc* all around BLO (18)

Change to the lighter color
Round 5-6: *sc* all around (18)
Change to the black color
Round 7: *sc* all around (18)
Change to the lighter color
Round 8: *sc* all around (18)
Change to the black color
Round 9: *sc* all around (18)

Change to the lighter color
Round 10-21: *sc* all around (18)
Add toy stuffing to the bottom of the crayon
Add the eyes between R19 and R20. The eyes are 3 stitches apart.
Change to the black color
Round 22: *sc* all around (18)

Change to the lighter color
Round 23: *sc* all around (18)
Change to the black color
Round 24: *sc* all around (18)
Change to the lighter color
Round 25-26: *sc* all around (18)

Change to the darker color
Round 27-29: *sc* all around (18)
Round 30: *sc, dec* all around (12)
Round 31: *sc* all around (12)
Add more stuffing.
Round 32: *dec* all around (6)
Round 33: *sc* all around (6)
Cut the yarn, finish off, and weave in the tail.
Aaaaand you’re done!
