This coaster is just avocadorable.
The math behind this design is simple, I wanted make coatsers for my apartment and I like avocados. So here we are!
The design is cute, great for beginners, and quick to finish.
Material
- Super fine cotton yarn in brown, light green, and dark green
- 3 mm crochet hook
- Needle
- Scissors
Stitches Used | Abbreviations
- Magic Ring (MR)
- Chain (ch)
- Single crochet (sc)
- Increase (inc) – 2sc in 1 st
- Decrease (dec) – 1sc in 2 st
- * * – repeat sequence
Notes
- The pattern is done in continuous rounds. Aka when moving from one round to the second, you work in the round without joining them with a slip stitch.
- The number at the end of each row in () indicates the number of total stitches.
Pattern
Round 1: MR, 6sc in MR (6)
Round 2: *inc* all around (12)
Round 3: *sc, inc* all round (18)
Round 4: sc, inc, [2sc, inc]x5 ,sc (24)
Round 5: *3sc, inc* all around (30)
change color to green
Round 6: 2sc, inc, [4sc, inc]x5, 2sc (36)
Round 7: *5sc, inc* all around (42)
Round 8: 3sc, inc, [6sc, inc]x5 , 3sc (48)
Row 9: dec, 8sc, dec, (10), ch1, turn
Row 10: *sc* all across (10)
Row 11: dec, 6sc, dec (8)

Row 12: *sc* all across (8)
Round 13: dec, 4sc, dec (6)
Round 14: *sc* all across (6)
Round 15: inc, 4sc, inc, 6sc, inc, sc, [7sc, inc]x4, sc, inc, 6sc (62)

Round 16: inc, 6sc, inc, 7sc, inc, sc, [4sc, inc, [8sc, inc]x3, 4sc], sc, inc, 7sc (70)
change color to dark green
Round 17: sc, inc, 6sc, inc, 9sc, inc, sc, [9sc, inc]x4, sc, inc, 8sc (78)
Cut the yarn and finish off.
Aaaaand you’re done!
