Using the brown yarn

Round 1: MR, ch2, 12dc in MR, sl st in the in the first dc to close the round. (12)

Round 2: ch2, *dc inc* all around, sl st in the first dc to close the round. (24)

Round 3: ch2, *dc, dc inc* all around, sl st in the first dc to close the round. (36)

Round 4: ch2, *2dc, dc inc* all around (48)

Round 5: ch2, *3dc, dc inc* all around (60)

Cut the yarn and finish off.

Using the yellow yarn, create a slip knot and connect the yellow yarn in the back loops of one of the stitches from Round 4 of the base.

Round 5.1: *skip a st, [hdc, dc, mp, dc, hdc] in the same st, skip a st, sl st* all around (15 petals)

Cut the yarn and finish off. Weave it loose ends.

Using the yellow yarn, create a skip knot and connect the yellow yarn in the front loops of one of the stitches from Round 4 of the base. Make sure your sl st is in the front loops of one of the petal stitches from Round 5.1. This way the petals in Round 5.1 and 5.2 would alternatre and no two petals would be on top of each other.

Round 5.2: *skip a st, [hdc, dc, mp, dc, hdc] in the same st, skip a st, sl st* all around (15 petals)
